Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Makra.ca collects when you use this site, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
Information you give us
When you submit a form on this site we collect your name, your phone number or email address, the plan you selected, and anything you write in the message field. We use it to reply to you and to deliver the work if you become a client. We do not sell it and we do not share it for advertising.
Information collected automatically
We record how the site is used so we can improve it. That includes the pages you visit, how far down each page you scroll, what you click, which site or search sent you here, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device, browser and screen size.
Session recording
We record browsing sessions on this site. A recording captures mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and the pages you move between, and lets us replay a visit to see where the site was confusing. Recordings are made using rrweb and stored on our own infrastructure, and separately by Microsoft Clarity.
We do not record payment card details. Payments are handled on Stripe's own checkout pages, which are not part of this site and are not recorded.
Who processes this information
We use these services, and information may be stored on their systems, including outside Canada:
- Supabase, for our database and stored analytics
- Vercel, for hosting
- Google Analytics, for traffic measurement
- Microsoft Clarity, for heatmaps and session replay
- PostHog, for product analytics
- Resend, for email we send you
- Stripe, for payments and subscriptions
Cookies
This site uses cookies and similar browser storage to tell visits apart and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work normally if you do.
How long we keep it
Session recordings and analytics are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Enquiries and client records are kept for as long as we work together, and for 7 years afterwards where we need them for tax and accounting.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@makra.ca or call 437-655-5645 and we will action it. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it by not starting a session recording.
